They will have shown dedication to the farming industry either through innovation, championing the needs of fellow farmers or showing leadership in our community.
This person may be farming or a long-serving professional in the agricultural industry in Tararua.
Most importantly this award will recognise contribution and character.

To be judged by a panel of three, made up of a representative from MCI & Associates, an independent agricultural industry leader, and a representative from the Tararua Excellence in Farming Awards Committee.

MCI & Associates is an accountancy firm with offices in Dannevirke and Pahiatua. They have nine fully qualified Chartered Accountants, alongside several Farm and Business Advisors, available to assist clients on a daily basis.
Heading up the firm are four Directors - Neil Ivamy, Esther Gleave (both Accounting Principals), Sean Stafford (Advisory Principal) and Heidi Morgans (Practice Manager), alongside experienced Principals – Simon Curran, Moira Paewai and Sam Ellingham, who are supported by some 50+ accounting and administration staff across their two offices, in the Tararua region.
While locally based, clients serviced by the practice are diverse and wide-spread. With clients involved in all forms of farming and a wide range of commercial activities, the experience, skills, and exposure to various trading structures, the knowledge of the principals and senior staff, is second to none. The firm maintains close links with tax and other specialists to ensure that accurate advice is provided to clients on all accounting, taxation and business issues.
